Terms of Service
This document was last updated June 1, 2026. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
1 · What docmydispute is
docmydispute is a dispute resolution tool. You use it to organize the facts of a dispute, draft formal complaints, track responses, and prepare for escalation to regulators, ombudsmen, or tribunals.
docmydispute is a tool of record only. It is not a law firm, not a legal service, and does not provide legal, medical, or professional advice. AI-drafted letters and analysis are starting points for you to review and edit — not legal opinions.
If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
2 · Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3 · Your data belongs to you
Everything you enter into docmydispute — facts, evidence, recipients, letters, responses, notes — belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.
You can export your data at any time using the Download Dispute Backup feature in Settings. You can delete individual items or entire disputes at any time.
4 · How we use your data
We use your data only to provide the service — storing it, displaying it, generating AI drafts from it, and processing inbound emails you forward to your dispute address.
When you generate an AI draft, the relevant parts of your dispute context (facts, evidence summary, prior letters) are sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) for that single request. Anthropic does not retain this data or use it to train models, per our service agreement with them.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service.
5 · Pricing and payments
docmydispute is a paid service. Pricing is per dispute, per year, and is displayed at the time of purchase. AI drafting usage is included within the subscription, subject to fair-use rate limits.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account settings.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
6 · Data retention
While your subscription is active, your data is stored securely and available to you at all times.
If you cancel your subscription or your payment fails, you have 90 days to export your data. After 90 days, your dispute data is permanently deleted from our servers. This cannot be undone.
We strongly recommend downloading a backup of your data before cancelling.
7 · What you agree not to do
You agree not to use docmydispute to:
- Store content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Attempt to access another user's data
- Use AI-drafted letters to harass, defame, or defraud another party
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service
- Interfere with the operation of the service
8 · AI-drafted content
AI-drafted letters, analysis, and checklists are starting points intended to help you organize and structure your case. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving every AI output before sending it to a recipient or relying on it for any decision.
AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or claims that do not match your situation. They are not legal advice, and they do not guarantee any outcome.
9 · Limitation of liability
docmydispute is provided "as is." We make every effort to keep your data safe and the service available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that data will never be lost.
We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the information, drafts, or analysis produced by the service. We are not responsible for the outcome of any dispute, complaint, regulatory process, tribunal hearing, or other proceeding.
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding any claim.
10 · Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
If you have questions about these terms, contact us at support@docmydispute.com.
